Tone of voice and how Mimir writes
How Mimir writes is separate from what it knows. If the facts are right but the phrasing isn't, this is where to change it — not in your notes.
Depending on your account you'll see either Settings → Behavior or Settings → Writing profiles. They do overlapping things; the difference is that writing profiles let you vary the style per channel and region.
Settings → Behavior
Tone of Voice has two options:
Standard — neutral, but friendly.
Friendly — informal, with frequent use of emojis.
Custom Writing Style Instructions is a free-text field, up to 1000 characters, for anything the tone setting doesn't cover. This is the right place for instructions like:
Always write in the first person. Never refer to "a colleague" or "the team".
Never promise a delivery date.
Sign off with the agent's first name only.
Web Search controls whether Mimir may look things up on the open web:
Off — web search is completely disabled.
Strict — Mimir searches the web but won't link to external sites.
Normal — Mimir searches and may link out, avoiding competitor stores.
If web search is on, Whitelisted Domains lets you list the domains Mimir is allowed to reference.
If Mimir has stated something confidently wrong and the source wasn't yours, web search is a likely cause. Expand Mimir worked for X seconds in the conversation to confirm, then consider setting web search to Strict or Off.
What this doesn't control
Which language Mimir replies in — see Languages and translation.
Whether a reply is sent automatically or waits for approval — that's per channel, under Settings → Channels.
Facts, policies and rules — those are notes and resources.
