Resources — websites, articles and files
Resources are the knowledge Mimir reads when it needs it: your website, your help centre articles, and files you upload. Unlike notes, which are always in mind, resources are opened on demand — Mimir decides which ones are relevant to the question in front of it.
You'll find them under Agent → Resources, split into Websites, Articles, Files and Help Center.
Websites
Adding your website lets Mimir discover and keep up with support pages: FAQs, policies, shipping information, terms.
To add one, go to Agent → Resources → Websites, click Add website, and enter the URL and the regions it applies to. If the pages sit behind authentication, open Advanced and add the required headers.
Choosing which pages get indexed
Open a website and go to the Content tab. You get a browsable tree of your site with a tick box per page, and three states:
Ticked — always index this page.
Unticked — never index it.
A dash — let Mimir decide, and keep deciding as your site changes.
Once you tick or untick a page, it stays where you put it. Folder menus let you Include all pages or Exclude all pages in one go.
👉 Exclude product pages here. Product information should come through product sync instead, which keeps prices and stock current — see Products and your catalogue.
Pages that aren't in your sitemap but should always be read can be added under Additional URLs.
Reindexing is nightly
This catches people out. Website content, articles and products are all reindexed once a night. If you exclude a page and it still appears in the list, or Mimir still quotes it, the nightly reindex usually hasn't run yet.
To reindex sooner, open the website's menu and choose Synchronize contents. The card shows Synchronizing… while it runs and Last synchronized when it finishes.
Articles
Agent → Resources → Articles has two tabs. Articles lists everything Mimir has ingested. Sources is where the content comes from.
Add a source with Add Article Source, pick the service, and choose the regions it applies to. Available sources depend on which integrations you've connected, with Google Docs always offered. Each source card shows when it last ingested and gives you Sync, Edit and Delete.
Files
Agent → Resources → Files takes documents that don't live on a website — price lists, spec sheets, internal policies.
Supported formats are .csv, .xlsx and .pdf. Drag files onto the page or use Upload file, then set the regions they apply to. You can rename a file later, but not change its type.
Help Center
If you publish a Mimir help centre, those articles are a resource too — Mimir reads them when answering. See Setting up your help centre.
A page Mimir shouldn't be reading
This is the most common resource problem, and it's worth knowing the shape of it. An old or internal page — a B2B returns policy, a discontinued campaign, a staff-only guide — gets indexed along with everything else, and Mimir quotes it to a customer.
To fix it:
In the conversation, expand Mimir worked for X seconds to confirm which page was read.
Go to Agent → Resources → Websites, open the site, find the page in the Content tab and untick it.
Run Synchronize contents, or wait for the nightly reindex.
If the page must stay indexed for other reasons, write a note stating the correct policy — notes take precedence over resources.
