July 24, 2026: New Chat Widget

We have rebuilt the Mimir chat widget from the ground up — it loads faster, looks better, and gives your customers more ways to get help without leaving the conversation.

Highlights:

  • Make it yours. Use our all new theme builder, or tweak every detail to make it perfect. We now also support using background images to make it truly yours!

  • Faster answer times. The customer now gets noticeably faster feedback when talking with Mimir.

  • Help Center built in. Customers can search and read your articles right inside the widget, often solving their question before they ever start a chat.

  • Conversation history. Returning customers can reopen and continue their earlier conversations instead of starting over.

  • Smoother live chat. Customers now get better live updates about their position in the queue. You also get typing indicators when they type, and can see when they leave the conversation.

  • More detailed ratings. Customers can now leave messages when rating the conversation. These are shown in the chat overview inside Mimir.
