How to set up Meta
Prerequisites
To connect Meta to Mimir you have to have a Facebook Business account. For Instagram to work, your insta-page also needs to be a Business account, and it must be connected to your Facebook page.
Connecting your account
The first step is to connect your account to Mimir. Simply go to https://app.cognitionhub.no/settings/integrations, press “Add” and find the Meta integration. Press “Connect” and give access in the Meta dialog. NB: Make sure to give access to both the Facebook page and Instagram page you wish to use.
Setting up channels
Facebook and Messenger
For Facebook and Messenger, the process is straight forward. Simply press “Connect Channel” and select the one you want to use.
You are then taken to the settings page where you can configure some simple settings. Make sure to select the Page you want to use for this channel.
To connect Instagram, follow the same steps as for Facebook. Then you have to make sure that you have enabled connected apps to manage your messages in Instagram. This setting can only be found in the Instagram mobile app, so head over to your phone and continue there. You need to go to Settings > Messages and story replies > Message requests then enable “Allow access to messages”. See the video below of how to find this setting.
